Well, Hello There Dr. Who

Can you tell the difference? :)

Yeah, I finished it! Well, almost. I still need to tie in the ends where I changed colors.

What do I DO with my life now???!

You Know What's Fantastic?

...Life...in general.

But more specifically:
-My back not hurting anymore!

-Still being able to work out at the gym so I can at least salvage what little shape I have left!

-Our new bed! We got a four inch tempurpedic mattress topper for our bed and it has been h-e-a-v-e-n...and while it was obscenely expensive (imho) it was well worth it...even when luke is not so smug about the fact that it was his idea :)

-Work...ok, let me rephrase that, working in AIR CONDITIONING...for two more weeks at least.

-My baby nursery plans...when Nick finally moves out... bless his heart, his room has been turned into a baby's room with a bed in it, but he suffers through it :)

-Our new washer and dryer...yeah, I just posted about those, but guess what?! I'm super stoked!

-Little elbows and shoulders and butts and feet that are constantly turning my belly into some weird, morphing, alien sack of doom...its dramatic, I know.

-Only gaining one pound in two weeks for the first time in, oooooh, about eight months!

-Only having 5 more weeks until I FINALLY meet this little guy who I am SO incredibly excited about!

-Having a fantastic husband who puts up with my crazy "nesting" moments when I freak out because there are boxes in the closet and that just WON'T DO! He really is a saint, people...this man puts up with some pretty fantastic-ly weird freak-outs without blinking an eye. He even doesn't mind my new found snoring habit.

So yeah, all in all, life is good, which is nice.

Patience Pays Off?

Remember when I said Luke and I were cursed with never having a washer and dryer? The curse has been broken, people! After a two years of hauling our laundry long distances to some funky smelling laundromats and an impending baby on the way who I'm sure won't stand for dirty onesies (he's gonna be high maintenance, I can already tell), it was definitely time for an upgrade.

As I stated before, I'm a snob and definitely wanted new appliances and so the search for the most fantasticist, fantabulous most terrific pair of laundry-doing machines was on. Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, the glorious internet...all offered promises of clean clothes and cheap prices, but lo and behold, we found our new beauties at Best Buy while looking at computers at 9pm on Saturday. Go figure.

Behold the newest addition to our family (for now!):

Gorgeous LG front loading washer and dryer...sent straight from the laundry gods, I'm sure. They won't get delivered until Saturday which presents an interesting conundrum as we desperately need to do laundry before then, but do we suffer through the laundromat one more time?!

Weirdest. Dream. Ever.

So last night I dreamt that I delivered a baby. Normal enough...especially after attending a two hour prenatal class chock-full of birthing videos and all the retinal scarring attached to that. *Shudders*

But when they gave me the baby it was a girl...a little mexican girl. So that's weird. But what's weird(er) is that I totally thought nothing of it...like, "oh, mexican girl baby? Sure, that could be mine"...

...After taking the baby home I suddenly realize that, "Wait! This isn't my baby! Me and Luke are both white! And you're supposed to be a boy!" So we head back to the hospital and tell one of the workers. He goes to the nursery and comes back with a little bundle, all wrapped up and snuggly and tells us that he found our baby! We unwrap the bundle and it turns out to be a box of mint chocolates. Once again, I don't think this is weird at all. Even when we open the box and start eating the chocolates.

Aaaand Scene.

So Weird.

Soooo Weird.

As a result of this dream we've put Russell Stover Rebarchik as our #1 baby name :)

Uh Oh...I'm Turning Mom-tastic....

Its happening guys....I'm turning into a *gulp* Mom. Today, I bought a pair of Birkenstocks...verified, 100%, certified mom shoes. Oh dang...or maybe I'm turning into a hippie. I was listening to Simon and Garfunkel the other day...Sigh,nope, I definitely got the 'mom' feeling about these shoes...they are freaking sweet though!

In other news, my wedding ring doesn't fit on my sausage fingers anymore so for all (visual) intents and purposes, I'm a free woman! Sorry, Luke but I'm sure all the guys are gonna be lining up around the block to get in with this swollen, wheezing, generally unattractive, puffy gal :)

All in all, Baby Rebarchik is frantastic, I think he might be jumping rope with his umbilical cord...or playing soccer, or practicing tai bo in that uterus of mine....at least that's what it feels like. Can't wait to meet this trouble maker in SIX weeks. Somebody tell this boy to hurry up!

Sooo I Might Have Changed My Mind....

Remember way back when, when I bought a fantastic stroller and it was the first "baby" purchase I ever made...well, my tastes might have changed since then (so shoot me, sheesh)...and as a result we exchanged old stroller for new stroller! New stroller is a little more "boy"ish, a little sportier and just kinda fits unborn bambino's already established "style"...yup, he's already got a style...go with it, he's gonna be fabulous :)

After spending the better part of an hour trying the smash the old stroller back into its box, Luke was understandably hesitant to put this new one together. But after my first prenatal class was cancelled because the lame nurse decided NOT to show up, I was achin' for something baby-related in my day and he kindly put it together for me (taking pictures along the way, lest his difficult wife change her mind again and he needs to put it back in the box). Whatta guy :)

Fantastic!

Not. Even. Half. Way. Done...

Holy Crap. Just as a reference this guy (also known as Luke) is 6'4" and I'm not even half way done...which isn't bad for one week...but the boss is back in the office so that's going to stall my daytime knitting progress :)
