Luke is waiting for me to finish a book at the moment because he wants to read it. Bring on the book guilt! Every time I have a spare minute I think, "Shoot! I should be finishing that book so Luke can read it!"... right now I feel guilty for blogging as I have images of an impatient Luke tapping his foot, arms crossed looking disappointingly in my direction.
Don't get me wrong, he's doesn't really care. If he was really that desperate to read a book he'd go get one. This book just happens to be one of the few in the house that he hasn't actually read.
In any case, Finn has been giving me plenty of opportunity to read. Now that he can sit up, unwavering for a limitless amount of time (ain't he the cleverest!?), I can just spread some toys on the floor and he'll sit up contentedly grabbing whatever toys he wants and pull himself back up to sitting. Quite a feat as I can hardly reach down while sitting and pull myself back up without falling. He probably even has better posture than me.
I guess what I'm saying is I can be really irresponsible and leave my baby practically unattended while I read :)
In other news of things-that-are-keeping-me-from-finishing-that-damn-book. MY grandparents flew in from Ireland the other day to meet the first great-grandchild :) He loves them, they love him, I love everyone...it all works out quite nicely if you ask me.
Did I mention it was warm enough for short sleeves? Hallelujah!
After a while he got bored and started playing with his hands...
