My New Project :)

After knitting an incredible scarf for myself (if I do say so myself...which I do), I decided to get a bit (ok, A LOT) more ambitious with this next scarf :

It is the scarf from Dr. Who!!! For all y'all not familiar with the good Doctor...start watching it...amazing. Each particular Doctor has his own specific style "piece". Our current Doctor sports suspenders and a bow-tie, while the one before him had his blue suit and red Converse shoes... you get the picture. Well, this particular Doctor from episodes which aired in the 60's (?) had an amazingly LONG scarf. A scarf that Luke totally digs. And given my last knitting success, I thought I'd give it a try...so that he can be cool for Halloween or something.

Plus, I'm pretty sure Luke is going to make a pretty sexy Doctor Who, so the pleasure is all mine :)

This picture gives a better impression of how loooong it is...Lord have mercy!

Hey Ma! I Beat You!

I am officially 31 weeks, 2 days pregnant! This may seem like a random week/day combination to be excited about BUT let me tell you something, its not random. Oh no. My darling mother was pregant once...with twins...me and Nick...and she made it to 31 weeks exactly before we decided to make our glorious, albeit very early entry into this world. Which means that I am now more pregnant than my mom has ever been.

Does that mean that I get to stop taking her advice now? Has the student now become the master? Not quite, but I'll say so for the sake of my dwindling self-esteem. Not that my self-esteem is THAT low, but holy crap people, you try being super confident when you can't wear shoes due to your feet swelling and it looks like you swallowed a basketball...a really cute basketball, though :)

So I have now reached my personal milestone numero uno. Nine more weeks!

Random Lamenting...

I moved to Provo approximately 4 years ago TODAY. My first apartment was awesome...I had my own room, a huge kitchen, a balcony and it was literally 200 yards away from campus...and it had a washer and dryer in the apartment. And I didn't like it because it was right next to my room. And thus, I was cursed.

Fast forward 4 years...I've lived in 4 different apartments since then and not ONE of them has had a washer or dryer...and it makes me want to cry. Is it because I didn't appreciate the privilege of having one in my first place that I have now been cursed??!

I'm finally at the end of my rope, though. I am GOING to buy a washer and dryer if it kills me (which I really hope it doesn't)! Especially before this baby comes. Right now we do laundry every two weeks (gross, I know) and I really don't want poopy, spit-uppy clothes hangin' around for that long. Nuh-uh, no way.

And with that I've got two months to find the perfect set at the perfect price (don't forget I'm a bargain hunter now...see previous post about bargain hunting). They have to be new (my requirement...I just can't seem to jump on the craigslist bandwagon) and top loading (Luke's requirement)...sigh, let the online perusing begin!

3/4

3/4 of the way there! 10 more weeks to go! Hoping for maybe one or two less, though :)

So yeah.

Llama-fest this weekend...!

...Wait, its going to be 100 degrees outside? Llamas? Heat? Sounds smelly. Maybe we'll just go see a movie...

Guess who's maturing...

That's right, moi :)

Maybe its because of an impending birth-day, maybe its the fact that I'll be 23 this year....or maybe its because aliens abducted me in the middle of the night and rewired my brain...I dunno...just go with me, here.

But for the first time in my life, I think I might just have become a bargain hunter.

First bargain: The crib. Originally $250, got it on clearance for $150...not bad!

Next Bargain: Found a $640 glider (rocking chair-thing for the lay, non-baby person) on sale for $245...yeah, guess who just saved $400?!...is it really saving if you wouldn't have spent that much in the first place? I don't know, but stop trying to steal my thunder. Shoot.

Then there are the baby clothes. As much as I reallllly want to drop loads of cash on the cutest outfits ever, I just keep telling myself that this little munchkin will probably grow out of everything in a month....Talk about self-control(she says proudly, hands on hip, defiant smile on face)! Good thing Baby Gap has sales :)

And while I might splurge occasionally...who doesn't want to buy a post-baby dress in a size small, just to see the light at the end of the tunnel!?...I really think my high-flying, high-buying days might just be behind me!

That's not to say that I'm not going to buy stuff anymore...I'm just buying the expensive stuff on sale...it counts :)

3rd Trimester Woes...

Well, not quite...I have about 2 days until I'm technically in the 3rd trimester of this weird sensation they call "pregnancy"...but no worries! The fun is getting started early! Kinda like the circus...

So what exactly am I dealing with?

1. A constantly full-feeling bladder...you know that feeling when you think, man! I really gotta go! Try that aaallll the time...and then a solid kick lands in your bladder and you think that you just might lose it, so to speak...aah good, glamorous times my friends.

2. Sleeping Rip Van Winkle style once again. Where in the 1st trimister I slept through every single thing...now, I just sleep through everything AND still feel tired! So good!

3. Oh Baby is this baby big! Probably not really, as people still comment on how small my belly looks, but let me tell you, this kid is just hanging out, happy to be weighing me down in the most uncomfortable fashion...thus making him feel more like 20 pounds instead of just 2...but bless him, I think he's probably the cutest little thing ever and I haven't even seen him yet :)

But in reality, these small troubles are in no way impeding my absolute joy and hapiness of being a soon-to-be mother. I love it...a lot...so much so that I actually want to be a real-life mother and not just a host :) around 85 more days to go little guy!

Less than 3 months left...lets party like this guy :)
