She's...Just...So...Beautiful

I'm in love. Now if it would get warm enough to use it that would be frantastic.

I know you love the little toes poking out, too :)

And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt...

...according to Finn. But seriously, the shirt isn't lousy. Its quite cute. Look at him sporting his Blackpool Orange!

Yeah, did any of us get a souvenir from England? Nope. Thanks, Mom. Geez.

But it was Valentine's day which means that I got about 15 pounds of chocolate from Luke (its like his allergy to chocolate needs to be compensated by me eating loads of it. Tough break, right?) and the most amazing watch and flowers.

Luke got a $20 video game and a book. And yes, I do feel like a cheapskate...and the uncool spouse. Yeah, no one wants to be that person. Sigh.

What did Finn get? He got the ability to roll over onto his belly whenever he wants. And he does want to. Especially when I'm not looking. And definitely not when I want to show someone his new trick. Rude, Finn...Rude.

Oh, and he got a high chair! Which as you can see, he totally appreciates it...his enthusiasm is killing me:

For My Mom...

So, I sent my mom this inflammatory email telling her how demonic Finn had been all day...and then Luke got home:

At least I know Finn CAN be happy after a day like today. Shoot.

So don't worry Mom, Finn doesn't need an exorcism after all!

Probably Shouldn't Leave Us Alone Together...

So, my madre is in Europe for the weekend...no big deal, right?

Which means that Finn, my brother and I have the house ALL to ourselves...besides Luke, I guess. He's doing that whole "job" thing. Boooring!

Anywho, when me and Nick are left alone we usually have a pretty good time. A pretty good time in that we eat. Lots. Yesterday it was Kneaders with sandwiches and a HUGE cinnamon roll. Today it was Einsteins for pizza bagels and a HUGE cookie. We're like small children in that when Mom isn't looking we go sneak a bunch of junk food...

Who says we need to grow up, right?!

Here's a picture of the happiness going on 'round here:

Finn, on the other hand, seems to be going through some Grandma separation anxiety (or is it just me?)...its like he knows we're not as cool as his g-ma. Rude. Thank goodness he's decided that sleeping is cool again or I might just lose it. Again.

At least him and Nick are BFF's:

All that being said, if anyone wants to come over and eat brownies and cookies and cheez-its and junk, you know who to call. Boo ya!

A Small Bale Of Hay...

...a large sack of grain
...average weight of a 7 year old
...ummmm...two 25 lbs dumbells?

Or to put it simply, a whopping 50 lbs. That would be exactly how much weight I've lost since that fateful day in September. And boy am I proud of myself :)

(Yes, I know that some of that was an actual baby and whatnot, but, let's not rain on my parade, ok?)

Bonus? I put on less than 50lbs during those 9 months. Boo ya!

I'm not exactly running around in a bikini or anything. Especially since its unfathomably cold outside. But I must say, I am rather happy with myself.

First, I'd like to thank the academy. Well, mostly I'd like to thank my mom for watching Finn in the mornings while I lug myself around Cedar Hills in the freezing cold.

You could say, I literally ran my butt off! ...yep, these are the jokes, people.

Finn, on the other hand has put on 9+ pounds...but he also grew over half a foot so I'll allow it.

As you can see...we're both pretty stoked.

Houston, We Have A Problem...

...in that Finn has been totally shafting me in sleep department. As I once bragged with hands-on-hips that Finn slept aaaallll night long, I now find myself up at all hours of the night with a demonic child screaming in my face. Fun, right? Riiight. I kind of have that sexy, tired look going on right now.

So whats with the change? I have no idea. I must confess that I still swaddle the little sucker in a straight jacket every night...I tried letting him go commando for a couple nights but that kinda made the situation kinda a lot worse. With little control of those chubby little arms the poor guy was waking up punching himself in the face every hour...its funny except for the part where its 3am. Lol'ing I am not.

With all this sleep deprivation going on it is a wonder I haven't completely snapped...not that it hasn't happened before. Back around Christmas when we were holiday'ing in California Finn was up all night doin' what babies do best. I went to check on him thinking in my sleepy stupor that I had put him in the crib the OTHER way around.....freaking out ensued as I was convinced that his sleep sack had completely engulfed his head. After hearing this Luke got Finn ready for bed the next night and I walked in on THIS lovely scene:

Ahem. Thanks, Luke. Verrrrry Funny.
...ahh the lifestyles of the rich and famous...or poor and sleepy. Whatever works.
