What you've missed:
Isla. She turned two months! Weighing in at a fantastic 11 pounds 3 oz, she was solidly in the 60th percentile for height and weight. My little chunkalunk :)
She is a super smiler. When she's not fussing about something she's smiling about everything. It makes up for the fussing in a big way. And melts my heart. Le sigh :)
She's not much of a sleeper yet, unless I'm holding her. But lets face it, you'd sleep better if I were holding you, too, so lets not judge too harshly.
The day she had her shots I knew Finn wasn't feeling well, but I decided to ignore it and hope he got better. He didn't. I drove down to the pediatrician in Pleasant Grove twice that day because it turns out he had another ear infection. The best part? Isla woke up from her nap feeling cranky. Like, real bad. And she happened to wake up in such a mood while I was holding Finn down on a table as he kicked and screamed because he didn't want the doctor to look in his ear. It was definitely the pits.
But yeah, its gotta be one of my prouder moments...Finn flailing and screaming and Isla being handed over to a nurse because she was also flailing and screaming.
I did not flail, nor did I scream. Kids: 0, me: 1. Boo ya.
House. We bought one! I didn't tell anyone (basically) until we had the keys in our hands because I'm superstitious like that. But the details on this sucker is: 2200 sqft, 4 bedrooms, 3 (full!) baths, huge yard and great neighborhood in Springville.
I truly love it and cannot wait to start gardening like the little old lady I am. I also can't wait for it to be repainted. My mom (the painter, extraordinaire) has already tackled 2 rooms in the 3 days we've been here. The whole interior is set to be repainted because ermagerd, the painting inside was turrible. Red accent walls are so bad. Red accent walls are worse when they're painted slapdash-edly...which, incidentally is how they painted the rest of the house too.
I love my huge laundry room (and hellloooo, my new stainless steel washer/dryer...be still, my heart), aka my new sanctuary (also, soon to be painted).
Luke loves that he has a backyard to work in and a lawn mower and manly crap like that.
Isla loves the ceiling fans throughout.
As for Finn, he's really proud of his new room and can't wait to show it to you.
He's also mastered the word 'mmm no'...like a sassy, confident way to say 'no'...because thats how he rolls. He usually says it first just to prove a point, then he'll tell you what he really means. Conversations of late:
Hey Finn, do you have a dirty diaper?
Mmm no. Uh, yes. I pooooo.
Yeah, thats what I thought, kid.
Seriously. So cute. This was the day after his ear infection debacle. He looks a little disheveled...
