Just Hanging Out...Being Groovy...

...yes, not a whole lot going on in the Rebarchik household. However, we DO walk to the mailbox most days and here are some pictures of my cutie pie doing such:

Most kids would lean back in their strollers, but apparently Finn is like, way to cool for school to be doing that. So he sits up the whole time even if it means hes going to hit his head on the tray in front of him when we go down a curb. The price you pay for being a cool kid, I guess :)

As you can see from the mundane pictures I find oh-so-exciting there is a tad bit of cabin fever going on. Yes, we make a weekly trip to Borders, the grocery store, etc.
But thats not stopping me from looking at the window and desperately wishing on a falling star for warm weather to go walking in...or just going OUTSIDE for more than 5 minutes would be nice.

With all this nothing going on I did find it within myself to start AND finish a book. A book mostly about a small boy who goes nuts and stabs his mom. After finishing it I'm pretty sure I need to start watching my back...yeah, bad choice in the literature department :)

Who knew feet could be so cool?

He's like the double rainbow guy...only with his toes :)

She's...Just...So...Beautiful

I'm in love. Now if it would get warm enough to use it that would be frantastic.

I know you love the little toes poking out, too :)

And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt...

...according to Finn. But seriously, the shirt isn't lousy. Its quite cute. Look at him sporting his Blackpool Orange!

Yeah, did any of us get a souvenir from England? Nope. Thanks, Mom. Geez.

But it was Valentine's day which means that I got about 15 pounds of chocolate from Luke (its like his allergy to chocolate needs to be compensated by me eating loads of it. Tough break, right?) and the most amazing watch and flowers.

Luke got a $20 video game and a book. And yes, I do feel like a cheapskate...and the uncool spouse. Yeah, no one wants to be that person. Sigh.

What did Finn get? He got the ability to roll over onto his belly whenever he wants. And he does want to. Especially when I'm not looking. And definitely not when I want to show someone his new trick. Rude, Finn...Rude.

Oh, and he got a high chair! Which as you can see, he totally appreciates it...his enthusiasm is killing me:

For My Mom...

So, I sent my mom this inflammatory email telling her how demonic Finn had been all day...and then Luke got home:

At least I know Finn CAN be happy after a day like today. Shoot.

So don't worry Mom, Finn doesn't need an exorcism after all!

Probably Shouldn't Leave Us Alone Together...

So, my madre is in Europe for the weekend...no big deal, right?

Which means that Finn, my brother and I have the house ALL to ourselves...besides Luke, I guess. He's doing that whole "job" thing. Boooring!

Anywho, when me and Nick are left alone we usually have a pretty good time. A pretty good time in that we eat. Lots. Yesterday it was Kneaders with sandwiches and a HUGE cinnamon roll. Today it was Einsteins for pizza bagels and a HUGE cookie. We're like small children in that when Mom isn't looking we go sneak a bunch of junk food...

Who says we need to grow up, right?!

Here's a picture of the happiness going on 'round here:

Finn, on the other hand, seems to be going through some Grandma separation anxiety (or is it just me?)...its like he knows we're not as cool as his g-ma. Rude. Thank goodness he's decided that sleeping is cool again or I might just lose it. Again.

At least him and Nick are BFF's:

All that being said, if anyone wants to come over and eat brownies and cookies and cheez-its and junk, you know who to call. Boo ya!

A Small Bale Of Hay...

...a large sack of grain
...average weight of a 7 year old
...ummmm...two 25 lbs dumbells?

Or to put it simply, a whopping 50 lbs. That would be exactly how much weight I've lost since that fateful day in September. And boy am I proud of myself :)

(Yes, I know that some of that was an actual baby and whatnot, but, let's not rain on my parade, ok?)

Bonus? I put on less than 50lbs during those 9 months. Boo ya!

I'm not exactly running around in a bikini or anything. Especially since its unfathomably cold outside. But I must say, I am rather happy with myself.

First, I'd like to thank the academy. Well, mostly I'd like to thank my mom for watching Finn in the mornings while I lug myself around Cedar Hills in the freezing cold.

You could say, I literally ran my butt off! ...yep, these are the jokes, people.

Finn, on the other hand has put on 9+ pounds...but he also grew over half a foot so I'll allow it.

As you can see...we're both pretty stoked.
